In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Wife hates it I love it, the sauce is what gets me the sweetness with the greasy crisp crust all that good stuff just dripping from it it. I love it reminds me of home back in St. Louis. Give it a try you'll either love it or hate it no in between.

The service was excellent, but I was not a huge fan of the sauce. That's just my preference, my husband liked it.

Best pizza and wings in town! This is a family owned business and they always remember our names! The pizza has a sweet taste with a thin crust and just the right amount of grease:) My husband raves about the hot sauce on the wings.. We don't get pizza from anywhere else!

Starlite is yummy. This joint had unique pizza. Sauce is sweeter than most and crust is thin but still almost spongy, not crispy. Good toppings and overall it is pretty tasty. We recently tried to Buffalo chicken pizza and thought that was great too.

A friend of mine raved about this place, but I was not too impressed. We ordered take-out; it didn't appear there was a tremendous amount of dining space. That said, the garlic cheesy bread had a good flavor (even if a bit greasy), but unfortunately a hair was found in one of the pieces. The veggie pizza was overloaded with long strands of undercooked onions. The sweet sauce was not terrible, but it tended to overwhelm the other flavors in the pizza. Given that the pizza had a very thin crust, there was not a whole lot there to balance out the overwhelmingly sweet sauce and the loads of onions. All in all, there just wasn't a very good balance of flavor or texture on the pizza. Certainly not the worst pizza I've ever had, but I won't be back any time soon.

I have been eating Starlite pizza since I was a child and am happy to pass the tradition on with my wife and son at this location. If we are ordering pizza, I would estimate that 4 out of 5 times, we are ordering Starlite. The pizza is incredibly unique and delicious. The sauce can definitely be described as "sweet" but is very good with toppings that always taste fresh. I have never had a bad experience nor have I ever had an order be incorrect. The staff are very curteous and friendly. Pizza's ordered for pick-up are ALWAYS ready before their estimated time. Although it is a small location, dining in is a fun experience as well. It is quiet with very attentive staff. Perfect for a family outing or group of friends getting together for dinner. Highly recommend. This place is one of South Bend's best local pizza establishments.

I tried the pizza a bit ago - pizza was good - my only issue was how sweet the sauce was - weird

Don't know why this hasn't been reviewed yet. Do it for old times sake. Although their original location on western is now some halfassed mexican place, the tradition continues on the south side and up in Granger. The pizza is unique to say the least. Nice and greasy, excellent toppings, and that sauce... Don't know if they still have the broasted chicken, but if they do you should get yourself some of that too. This place should be way more popular than it is.
